Hello!
I’m David, here to capture your love stories from weddings to elopements across Scotland.
I’ve been married to my amazing wife, Penny for 15 years and we are lucky enough to have two incredible kids, Ruben and Luna. I absolutely love being a Dad. It makes all of the hard work worth it. There’s nothing better than going on an adventure with Team Simpson.
My own wedding feels like a long time ago now, but we still look at the pictures regularly to bring back all of the amazing memories. That’s why I love my job so much, as I know that I’m creating memories for families to look back on for years to come.

I totally get this and that’s why I love to meet with you, get to know your personalities and hear all about the story that led to this point in your journey. Whether it’s the big, romantic portraits with dramatic backdrops, creative shots that reflect who you are, or the spontaneous moments you didn’t even know I caught, I’m here for all of it.
I completely understand how important your wedding is and I’ll go above and beyond to make sure your experience is stress-free and enjoyable. From the initial consultation to the final delivery, I’ll guide you every step of the way so that your wedding feels relaxed and we have a whole lot of fun.

Not to brag, but...
Apparently I’m quite good at this…
Turns out I’ve picked up a couple of awards lately - including Outstanding Photographer at both the 2024 Scottish Wedding Awards and The Nation’s Wedding Awards. It’s a real honour (and a bit surreal) to be recognised among so many talented photographers.
But more than anything, it just means a lot to know that the care, creativity and effort I put into every wedding has landed. These awards are a little reminder of why I do what I do - to tell real stories in a creative way, and to give each couple something they’ll genuinely treasure.
