NATURAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Wedding photos you’ll actually LOVE

You’ve probably heard it a hundred times already… “your wedding day will fly by." And it’s true. One minute you’re getting ready, the next you’re dancing your heart out and wondering where the day went.

That’s where I come in… I’m David and I capture weddings all over Scotland in a natural, authentic style, so that when it’s all over, you can revisit the best day of your life whenever you like.

Just be yourselves. I’ll take care of the rest

You don’t need to perform or plan every moment… I’ll be there to document things naturally and authentically. The big feelings and the quiet ones. The stuff you’ll want to remember.

My approach is relaxed but intentional - a mix of documentary and creative portraits that tell the full story of your day, without making it feel like a photoshoot. I’ll capture the everything that matters, the big moments, little glances, and all the beautifully messy bits in between.

Whether you’re planning a big celebration or something more low-key, my job is to fit in seamlessly so that when you look back at your photos, it all comes flooding back, just as it was.

Authentic, not awkward

Wedding venues in Scotland I know and love

  • Hidden in the hills of Perthshire, Cardney Steading is a total gem. Think peaceful lochs, woodlands, and wide open skies - the perfect backdrop for couples who want something relaxed but beautiful. I love how down-to-earth it feels, while still giving you those wow moments for your photos.

  • If you’re dreaming of a grand estate wedding, Dumfries House is about as elegant as it gets. The grounds go on for miles, the architecture is beautiful, and it somehow manages to feel intimate even in its grandeur. A real favourite for timeless, natural wedding photography.

  • This place has magic in it. Achnagairn Castle in the Highlands is full of personality - a bit quirky, very beautiful, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Whether you’re getting ready in the turret rooms or saying your vows in the ballroom, it’s a joy to photograph.

  • Rosebery is effortlessly stylish - a modern steading with rustic soul. Tucked just outside Edinburgh, it’s got bags of character with exposed stone and natural light everywhere. A dream spot for couples who want a chic vibe without losing that Scottish charm.

  • Perched high above the River Tweed, Neidpath Castle is perfect if you’re after atmosphere and history. It’s rugged and romantic in all the right ways. The light inside is incredible, and the setting outside is full of moody drama - especially on a misty day.

  • The Byre is pure rustic charm, and I love how flexible it is. Couples can really make it their own - whether it’s candlelit and cosy or open and airy in summer. The grounds are lush, the barn is full of character, and it always photographs beautifully.

  • Boreland is all about those epic Scottish landscapes 0 think rolling hills, loch views, and skies that seem to go on forever. It’s brilliant for outdoor ceremonies or elopements, especially if you want to make a weekend of it with your favourite people.

  • Ardross is breathtaking. Tucked up in the Highlands, it’s got towering turrets, sweeping lawns, and a real sense of drama. But despite its scale, it always feels warm and welcoming. A perfect spot for couples who want wild beauty and timeless photos.

  • Broxmouth Courtyard is beautifully laid-back. Set near the East Lothian coast, it’s stylish without being showy - a great mix of rustic and modern. The light here is always lovely, and there’s loads of variety in the setting for natural, relaxed photos.

  • A proper fairytale setting just outside Edinburgh, Dundas Castle mixes historic grandeur with peaceful gardens and lake views. It’s one of those venues where everything flows so well – and the mix of indoor and outdoor options means your day’s in safe hands, whatever the weather.
