Scotland’s weather is famously unpredictable, but that’s part of the adventure! I always have backup plans and know plenty of beautiful spots that look amazing, rain or shine. Some of my favourite images have been taken in moody weather.

That completely depends on your plans but I have a minimum coverage of 5 hours for elopements. Most couples choose between 5–8 hours to capture getting ready, your ceremony, and some epic portraits in stunning locations. I’m happy to talk through your plans and create a custom timeline.

Elopements are often just the couple, but you can absolutely bring a few close friends or family members. I’ll can advise on locations that work beautifully for a small group.

Scotland allows couples to marry anywhere outdoors with a registered celebrant. You’ll need to submit a Marriage Notice (M10 form) at least 29 days in advance. Take a look at my elopements Legal Marriage Guide to find out more.

Popular dates, especially in summer, book up quickly - sometimes a year in advance. If you’re planning to elope in Scotland, I’d recommend reaching out as soon as you have a rough date so we can start planning your day together.
