Nestled in the heart of the mystical Scottish countryside, Kilmartin Castle stands as a testament to both history and romance. Recently, I had the honour of photographing an intimate vow renewal at this enchanting castle. Vanessa & Andreas came to Scotland from their native Germant, accompanied by their precious daughter. They chose Kilmartin Castle for its rich history, breathtaking surroundings, and its unique allure for small weddings and elopements.

Kilmartin Castle, dating back to the 16th century, is steeped in Scottish history. Originally built as a stronghold, the castle has witnessed centuries of change, from turbulent times to peaceful eras. In recent years, the castle underwent a meticulous renovation, preserving its historic charm while incorporating modern comforts.

On the outskirts of Edinburgh, amidst the captivating Pentland Hills, a unique and unforgettable wedding unfolded, providing an enchanting backdrop for a celebration of love. As a wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing the emotional moments of this extraordinary event, which was attended by tearful and joyful guests hailing from diverse corners of the globe.

Tilly & Cal’s choice of the Pentland Hills as the venue added a touch of mystique to the ceremony. The fog that blanketed the landscape created an ethereal atmosphere, transforming the surroundings . The weather, while challenging, added an unexpected charm, allowing for truly unique and atmospheric photographs. The Edinburgh cityscape came into full view just in time for the ceremony, which acted as an incredible backdrop.

For Morgan & Trenton, the decision to travel across the Atlantic from North Carolina to Torridon was driven by a shared love for adventure and the desire to celebrate their commitment in a place of unparalleled beauty. Torridon, with its rugged mountains, tranquil lochs, and untamed wilderness, provided the perfect canvas for their love story to unfold.

Jade and Alistair are such an awesome couple. I had such a great laugh spending the day with them exploring such a beautiful part of Scotland on their wedding day.

This intimate celebration unfolded at the serene Lochan, where an adventurous Australian bride and her groom, adorned with awesome yellow shoes, pledged their love surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Scottish Highlands. To add to the charm, their loyal four-legged companion joined the celebration, making it a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

A snowy winter wedding in Edinburgh city centre. The day started at Le Monde, went on to Edinburgh City Chambers and finished at The Dome. This wedding took place just before Christmas, so the whole city was twinkling and the snow was just a perfect addition to the urban winter wonderland.
